When to call

Accident on site

If anyone is hurt, call 999 first. Then call us: we tell you what to do in the first hours, help with the RIDDOR report and carry out the accident investigation.

HSE inspection or notice

We help you through the visit, get your documents together and respond to what the inspector asks for.

No documents, no access

You get a full, site-specific RAMS within 12 hours of receiving complete information. We also prepare other CDM documents urgently.

Difficult situations

A dispute with the principal contractor, a contract at risk or a requirement you do not know how to meet. Call and we tell you what to do next.

How it works

  1. You call. We answer at any hour.

  2. We help by phone and online straight away.

  3. If a site visit is needed, we arrange it with you.

  4. The first call is free. The price depends on the case: you usually get a rough figure on that call, before any work starts.

What we are

Health and safety advisors.

We are not an emergency service and we do not provide legal representation. If your case needs a solicitor, we will tell you.

FAQ

What is a RAMS?

RAMS stands for risk assessment and method statement. It sets out the hazards of a task, who could be harmed, and the safe way to carry the work out. Principal contractors usually ask for it before you start on site.

How fast can you prepare a RAMS?

Through our H&S Emergency Line you get a full, site-specific RAMS within 12 hours of receiving complete information: your company details, the site address, the scope of work and the tools or equipment you will use. The line is answered 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

What should I do after an accident on site?

If anyone is seriously hurt or in danger, call 999 first. Then make the area safe, do not disturb the scene more than you have to, and write down what happened and who saw it. Deaths and serious injuries must be reported to HSE without delay under RIDDOR (the Reporting of Injuries, Diseases and Dangerous Occurrences Regulations 2013): call our Emergency Line and we will guide you step by step.

An HSE inspector has come to my site. What now?

Cooperate, answer honestly and note what the inspector asks for and by when. If you are given a prohibition notice, stop that work until it is made safe. Call our Emergency Line: we help you get your documents together and respond to any notice.
